22^nd of February 2003, a fire broke out in the kitchen area at the Margretetorp factory, which was an older building with a thatched roof that offered almost no fire resistance. Although there were staff members onsite, fortunately, no one was harmed and vehicles and equipment were saved. Company records didn’t fare so well, however, and many were lost to the fire. The fire occurred just two weeks before the Geneva Motor Show.

Unfortunately Christian loses all of his old sketches and car drawings from his childhood right up until when they started Koenigsegg.
